Positive Side Effects in EDUCATION Education needs to be for building character. The classroom is the microcosm of society. If children are to learn about their own behavior’s impact on their peers then they must take into consideration positive side effects. Each behavior has a ripple effect. Cause and effect govern behaviors that do not reflect on intent. Thus, the teacher is the leader in recognizing that every interaction has impact on the greater whole. Education builds culture and if we are to have a Culture of Peace then we must begin to educate for peace.
