Dr. Huang Fukai - China

Dr. Huang Fukai, President of Beijing Tibetan Medicine Hospital and Beijing Ethnic Medicine Hospital, was born in Huainan City, Anhui Province (PRC) and graduated from Medical College of Beijing University. He also holds the posts of Assistant Secretary of Ethnic Medicine Association of China, Researcher of Institute of China of the Nation, and visiting professor of central nationality university. He has undertaken medical, scientific research and management in hospital for less than 30 years. He has devoted his life for Traditional medicine of Chinese and Tibetan, and combine traditional medicine with modern medicine.

He has undertaken some national scientific research subjects. Now he has undertaking three subjects which names are Instruction of the national department of Tibetan medicine on vascular diseases of cerebral and cardiac, research on protection and durative utilization of Tibetan medicine resources, and research on dose and modernization of Tibetan medicine, etc. He had already accomplished Several national subjects such as translation and annotation of Pharmacopoeia of Mongolian medicine and Four sections of sweet dews（2003）, research on therapy of nationality medicine（2004，and bonesetting and brain vibrating of Mongolian medicine（2004.

He has written more than 30 pieces of learned essays and research papers, such as Five great development strategies on Chinese ethnic medicine under the western development strategy, Report of developmental research of Tibetan medicine under the situations of western exploitation , The curative effect observation on atrophic gastritis by Tibetan medicine, Research on developmental strategy of Tibetan medicine in 21st century, Academic meaning and its development of Tibetan medicinal bathing therapy, and so on. He has also written several books, such as the series of research on Tibetan medicine, two of them named China’s Tibetan medicated bathing, and The catalogue and index of Tibetan medicinal literatures of China(1907-2001)， both of them was the first of their domains, and were selected as teaching materials of Tibetan medicine of the central nationalities university.

He has obtained many national or international awards such as golden award of the Congress on development of TCM of China, award for the excellent thesis, top-grade award of the 1st Congress of academic exchange on nationalities medicine, 2nd award for excellent thesis of the national ethnic medicine, and so on. More than one hundreds mediums include Xinhua News Agency.

Of late years, he has successively visited Japan, France, Germany and Italy for academic exchange, and led the delegation of China Tibetan medicine attend the Congress of UN in June, 2005. He presided the seminar of International conference Tibetology, Beijing 2001. He also presided the Tibetan medicine seminar of 7th International conference on history of minor nationality technology of China.
