Dr. Janet Wu was born in a Taoist family.
She studied the Chinese healing art and Qigong with her philanthropic
grandfather while in China and traveled with him to take care of
suffering poor people since the age of 15.
She was taught
that the best way to help people is to "teach them the way of how to
fish instead of giving them the fish". Because of this meaningful
philosophy, she developed a unique holistic health care program called
"Do It Yourself and Selfcare Healing Art".
In the United
States, she was baptized into Christianity. She studied psychology in
relation to the diseases, and received her Ph.D. in Psychology from
Stanford University and from Open International University. She studied
Western natural healing art at Clayton College of Natural Health and
received her doctorate degree in Naturopathy. She further studied
nutrition at the American Holistic College of Nutrition and received her
Ph.D. in Nutrition.
She is a board
certified Naturopathic Physician and a member of American Naturopathic
Medical Association. She is also a medical doctor in Alternative
Medicine, Natural Medicine and a Federal Registered Naturopath and
practices in San Carlos, California.
Dr. Janet Wu is
an international speaker and educator on natural health. She travels
extensively to different countries to share her technique of "Do It
Yourself and Selfcare Healing Art" with all walks of people, from laymen
to professionals, especially with seniors and the poor. Her philosophy
is that the foundation of good health should be filling with love, care,
joy and peace in the mind, and not to get upset with others, to be able
to forgive and forget are the best medicine as Proverbs says in 17:22 "A
cheerful heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the
bones".
She is one of the
founders of CBN Flying Hospital. She is visiting professor for the Open
International University in Colombo, Sri Lanka, De La
Salle University of Medicine at La Cavite, Philippines and Hei
Long Jiang Traditional Chinese Medicine University in Shen Yang, China,
etc...
She is appointed
by the government-sponsored organizations to train most health and
senior centers to teach them how to maintain better health. She is
commissioned to organize annually a team to include only selected
doctors in alternative medicine, psychologists, chiropractors,
acupuncturists, researchers and holistic healers to China to learn Wai
Tan Kung which is sponsored by Chinese government to culturally exchange
the scientific proved natural healing art which can improve health
through stimulating the cellular microenvironment
to increase the immune systems function.
