LIVING
CONFLICT: EXPERIENCES OF AN ECOLOGICAL LABORATORY
The objective of
the intervention is to expose the theoretical assumptions and examples
of an ongoing project entitled “Living Conflict”, which is being
promoted by Casa della Resistenza Association of Verbania in
collaboration with corridoio.zero association of Milan.
The project is
aimed at young people coming from conflictual situations and offers an
opportunity for dialogue. Participants in the present project include
young Israelis and Palestinians as well as youngsters from Serbia and
Kosovo.
Through a series of seminars, participants
are asked to consider their own territory and history and transform
their contrasting elements into potential roots shared in a common
world. The fundamental action of ‘living’ is placed at the center of the
debate: ‘living’ means building a world made up of present and past
relationships among human beings and their environment. (With reference
to Hannah Arendt and Gregory Bateson). |
