DEVELOPING OF THE INTEGRATION between
MONGOLIAN and TIBETAN TRADITIONAL MEDICINE
with the ITALIAN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM
Verbania, 2004 May 28-30

The Inter-Hospitals International Turin Goup was founded at the end of 2003 between the “Molinette” Hospital di San Giovanni Battista (1) and ASL4 Hospital S.G.Bosco (2), after the meetings of the Mongolian KHAMBA LAMA Damdinsuren Natsagdorj in Italy (3). The aims is to have a comparison between the Health Care Systems of different part of the world in order to find the best cure and care for the Peoples. The studies based on the experiences of 94 Asiatic Persons (Medical Doctors, Nurses, Officers) came to Italy (87 Chinese and 7 Mongolian) and 15 Italian to China, Tibet and Mongolia (4.5.6,7).
The comparison was made of lectures and practice with stage of 15 to 50 days in the guest countries and the different parties signed several Memoranda of Understanding (5,14,15) in order to give a more important develop to the integration between the Health Care and Cure (18).
Several methods of the ancient traditional medicine of Tibetan and Mongolian use could be used already in Europe, such as acupuncture, meditation, massage, moxabustion, while the use of drugs and herbs need to have some more evaluations according to the laws al the European Countries.
Together with the introduction of the Mongolian and Tibetan Traditional Medicine in the European Medical Service, the studies could give the opportunity to develop the 1st Aid Care and Cure System with a better organization in countryside of Mongolia and Tibet using the GER (Mongolia Tent) for nomadic peoples (BAG and SUM structures: see “Ger Emergency Room Service” GERS project (7)) and help the Tibetan Buddist Temples to develop an Emergency Cure and Care under the protocols of the Italian Emergency Service 118.
From 40% to 60% of the Peoples that goes to the Emergency room in western countries don’t need specific care (8,9,10,11,12) and they could be treated with other kind of medicines, such as the Traditional Medicine of Asia. Also other more serious illness could have a better result of cure and care by the integration of conventional and not conventional treatment (16,17).
The work of the International InterHospital Group would give a support to the develop of the integration between the different ways to preserve health and to cure and care illness.
The comparison between the Health Systems in the world would also support the reciprocal respect of the cultures and tradition of every peoples.
The main goals are to introduce the different traditional medicine into the European health system and to give to the undeveloped and developing countries the best organization and treatment of the 1sr Aid, according to the concept that:

in our similitude we are strong,
in our difference we find creativity,
but only in our communication we can resolve any question.
