Bruno Segre

Born in Lucerne, 1930, he studied philosophy at Antonio Banfi School in Milan. He later worked in the field of sociology of cooperation and education of adults for the Community Movement founded by Adriano Olivetti. Taught in Switzerland from 1964 to 1969. He has been a council member of the Center of Contemporary Hebrew Documentation in Milan. From 1991 he presides the ‘Friends of Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam’. Bruno Segre has dedicated and contributed to various aspects and moments of the Hebrew story and culture. He is also the author of ‘Hebrews in Italy’ and ‘Shoah’ and is director of ‘Kashet’, a magazine on Hebrew life and culture.
